Tox Talks Symposium 2025 – SFU

Calling All Toxicologists,

We are excited to invite you to the 8th Annual ToxTalks Symposium! After a brief hiatus, ToxTalks is back for 2025, continuing the tradition of bringing together toxicology students, faculty, and industry leaders across BC and beyond. Our goal is to strengthen relationships, foster collaboration between research groups, and provide opportunities to share ongoing research in the diverse field of toxicology. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Frank Gobas as our keynote speaker for this year’s symposium.

ToxTalks will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at SFU Burnaby Campus in the Big Data Hub. This is a free opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to present their research through a 5- or 15-minute talk or a poster presentation during our poster session. We welcome research proposals, published results, and everything in between. Student presenters are asked to apply through submitting their abstracts by March 28th.

Industry professionals, government employees, and post-secondary faculty/staff are encouraged to save the date! This is an excellent opportunity to network with eager, up-and-coming professionals in toxicology. Please register to attend for free on our website by April 18th.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and prizes will be awarded for the best presentations and posters! To end off the day, a social event will follow to celebrate your hard work- stay tuned for more details.
