Are you an international student wondering whether, or how, you should file a Canadian income tax return? Join the International Centre for Students and Gustavson School of Business for an income tax information session, where a representative from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will share information on receiving benefits and credits, working in Canada, ways to do your taxes, Community Volunteer Income Tax program (CVITP), how to be scam smart, and more. Register to receive the Zoom link either for the 9 am or the 12 pm session.

Recognizing that many international students may need to apply for or extend their co-op work permits at this time, our team (International Student Advising at ICS) will be hosting two Co-op Work Permit Application Drop-in Hours February for students who are in the Co-op programs. Please share this information with students who may benefit from the drop-in hours.

Canadian Biomaterials Conference – Feb 15, 2026

This year, the Canadian Biomaterials Society (CBS) conference will be jointly held with the Controlled Release Society (cc-CRS) and the Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Sciences (CSPS). The joint CBS/CSPS/cc-CRS Conference will take place from June 2–5, 2026, at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and will bring together 300+ leaders from academia, industry, government, and international organizations to advance innovation in biomaterials, drug delivery, vaccines, biotechnology, regenerative medicine, and more.
