Prospective Graduate Students

NOTE: Unfortunately, I am NOT reviewing applications to the clinical psychology program this year (for a Fall 2025 start)

I welcome applications to work with me in the Clinical Psychology graduate program. I typically accept one new student every other year, with some exceptions. Mentoring graduate students is one of my favourite parts of my job! As a research lab, we strive for a collaborative and supportive research environment. We hold group lab meetings every other week during which we discuss as a group all of the ongoing research activities. On alternating weeks, I meet individually with graduate students.

Admissions to clinical psychology programs are very competitive, and no one factor determines success. Typically successful applicants in my lab have strong GPAs, research experience (such as an honour’s thesis), and an interest in studying families. Interest in the profession of clinical psychology (assessment, intervention, consultation, etc.) is also necessary, of course, but extensive clinical experience prior to graduate school is not.
