Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre

The Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC), located in Bamfield, British Columbia, is owned by UVIC, UBC, SFU, UAlberta, and UCalgary and offers upper-level university field courses in marine sciences and other faculties.  BMSC is proud to offer a Fall semester in marine sciences from September to December every year (since 1996!).

The Fall Program is a 5-course full semester available to 3rd or 4th year Biology (or related) undergraduates, and allows students the opportunity to conduct their own research and learn as part of a small (24 max) cohort of students.  The hands-on, intensive nature of the Fall Program allows students to immerse themselves in the course material and make life-long friends and professional connections with fellow students, instructors, and on-site researchers.

The application deadline for BMSC’s Fall Program is March 31, 2018:
