UVic 5th Annual Mental Health Awareness Event

Dear students,

On the 16th of January, UVic is hosting the 5th Annual Mental Health Awareness Event in the Farquhar Auditorium, featuring Shane Kocyzan, spoken word poet and writer, and a special student story-weave performance presenting the lived experiences of UVic students.

We are looking for students (or recent graduates) who would feel comfortable being a part of a group story-weave performance at the event, where they would share their story of how their lives have been touched by mental health. This includes both challenges and successes, as well as how their lives and university experience has been impacted by mental health.

This is an amazing opportunity for students to share their experiences with the campus community and remind others that they are not alone.

If you are interested in participating in the group story-weave performance, please contact Anne Cirillo at acirillo@uvic.ca by December 14th.

Thank you,

The Planning Committee
