I wanted to take some time before teaching to explore other avenues so when I began teaching, I would know that I made an informed decision. After 2 years of coaching swimming and working with all ages of kids, I&#8217;m excited to be looking forward to getting on a TOC list in September and getting back in the classroom. I never pictured myself living in a city or working with elementary aged kids but am happy to have exposed myself to both those things. It turns out I&#8217;m not just a high school teacher, but can&#8217;t get enough of middle school aged kids. In this picture, I&#8217;m in New York (that&#8217;s right, I fit some travel in too!) right after a run and am hanging out with my favourite kid in the world, my niece, Sloan.
