{"id":209,"date":"2015-01-25T10:23:34","date_gmt":"2015-01-25T18:23:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/bedpe\/?post_type=project&#038;p=209"},"modified":"2017-03-17T09:57:08","modified_gmt":"2017-03-17T16:57:08","slug":"nicole-french","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca\/bedpe\/project\/nicole-french\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicole French"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After working as a TOC in the Coast Mountains and North Island\u00a0School Districts for a\u00a0couple\u00a0of years I came home to Nanaimo in 2013.\u00a0 I have worked as a\u00a0TOC in grades\u00a0K-12\u00a0and had a string of short-term contracts teaching Social Studies,\u00a0Psychology,\u00a0and\u00a0French.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0have\u00a0been\u00a0fortunate to\u00a0get my first continuing contract this year\u00a0teaching\u00a0French part-time at my old high school,\u00a0Dover Bay\u00a0Secondary.\u00a0Although I have only taught PE as a TOC I am so grateful for my training and everything I learned at UVic.\u00a0 I\u00a0did not\u00a0set out to teach French but have had a lot of fun with it so far and\u00a0I am planning to go to Quebec next summer\u00a0to further improve my language skills.
