Wayne Kuechle

,

I graduated from UVic in 1995; therefore, I have been teaching high school for 20 years. I began teaching in my home town of Terrace, and then after marrying another teacher and UVIC graduate, we taught in S.Korea. When we came back to Canada I taught in Salmon Arm for eight years – and was the vice principal for the last three years. We then moved to Penticton to be closer to family and I have been here for nine years. Since graduating, I have been fortunate to always have a full-time position in either English, PE, or both. Currently I am teaching English and beginning to take on the AP English Program at Penticton Secondary School.

I love coaching and helping out in the school whenever I can – as it is the best way to get to know the kids. Something I did not know while attending UVIC was just how much I was going to love this career; there is nothing else I would rather do!

I live with my wife and two boys (11 and 7), and we are blessed to work in such a wonderful district and call Penticton our home.  I am very grateful and proud to say “I went to UVic.”
