Tegan Soros

I was hired onto the Greater Victoria School District TTOC list the September after graduation.  During my extended summer months (May – September) I am a wildland firefighter, based out of Nelson in the Kootenays.  The flexibility of my TTOC schedule has enabled me to develop my Forestry Career.  In 2015 I took a leave of absence from teaching and went back to school to become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist.  My hopes are to use my education degree and nutrition certification to make some large-scale change within the Ministry training programs for firefighters.  Eventually I’d like to move into the Education sector of Government to develop and support the changes we are making to our current curriculum. 2018 Update: I am currently teaching at Oak Bay Secondary School.
