I have been living in Tofino/Ucluelet for the past 4 years –teaching between the two communities. Even though I finished my degree with focus in secondary, I taught in Tofino for two years teaching grade 2/3 for the first year, then grades1/2. I loved it! And they loved it especially when I played my accordion for them, so that was a bonus!! This year I decided to make the move back to Ucluelet, where I am teaching English, PE, and Drama at the high school.
I know that I will never be sorry that I chose a profession where I am constantly building relationships and opening doors for those who may not have experienced those situations otherwise.
