I have had the honour of spending my first year teaching on a Band-Run school in Kitsumkalum, which is 8 minutes outside of Terrace. My definition of ‘Adventure’ has been revamped since being here. I have put into practice the joys and challenges of Project-Based Learning and have loved spending the majority of my teaching time being on the land, learning from my students and Elders. The First Nations communities are amazing, and I will miss them next year! I’m heading back to Victoria for the year to see what other trouble I can make. Hope to see some of you soon!
