Wow, can’t believe it’s been three years!  Since finishing my B Ed in PE and French, I’ve been working full-time in District 63. Despite having the above mentioned teaching areas, I have not taught a single PE or French class, I’ve been in the Foods room for all of my assignments.  This has been fantastic as it’s allowing me to make use of my previous career and degree in Culinary Arts and it’s an area I am super passionate about.  The first year was full of steep learning curves that ranged from classroom management situations to learning how to play the job application game. Overall, it’s been a great couple of years and I’m looking forward to the next few as I have been given the opportunity to expand the program to include a focus on trades development and training in the Culinary Arts. Update: Fall 2022 – Vice Principal at Claremont Secondary.
