After graduating, in 2003, I moved to Kuwait for four years to work at an international school and travel. Since returning to BC, I’ve been working at Bodwell High School in North Vancouver, where I’ve been teaching PE, Health and Career Education, Social Studies, and Foods and Nutrition. Besides my classroom duties I’ve been involved with a number of co-curricular activities, such as Outdoor Ed, and coaching a number of sports, including: skiing, basketball, badminton and soccer. I’ve also been busy completing a Masters degree from UBC in Educational Technology, which I hope to complete this April. When I’m not working and studying, I enjoy my time in Squamish where I live with my husband and our dog, and love to travel whenever possible.

I found that the UVic B.Ed program really prepared me well for the challenges and triumphs of being a teacher. When I speak to other teachers about their teacher training, I feel that the UVic program provided a variety of great learning and teaching experiences, compared to other programs.

Nice to see so many familiar faces on this site and read what everyone’s up to.
