After spending one-year teaching PE & Socials in the Maple Ridge School District, I went to Nagasaki, Japan for five years. During that time, I spent two years at a public high school and three years teaching in a university. I returned to Victoria in 2007 and started working for the Greater Victoria School District in the International Education Program where I currently work as a District Vice Principal. I have kept my connection to U Vic alive as I am getting close to completing my PhD in Educational Leadership at UVic. I have a young family with two boys (7 & 2) and my wonderful wife Michiko (black belt in Judo and a keen interest in sport/fitness). I continue to stay connected with many PE grads who also work in the education sector in BC and abroad.
