Carlie Kilduff

,

I taught PE, French, Planning, Art, and Leadership for a combined ten years at Edward Milne and John Stubbs in the Sooke School District.  I loved teaching but when I became a mother for the second time (I have two boys aged 5 and 2) I made the decision to take extended leave from my job.
Now, a few years later,  am doing all kinds of writing and speaking.  I share messages of hope, inspiration, love, peace, healing, and self value as I believe that this is a vital part of creating a healthier, happier, and more sustainable future for today’s and tomorrow’s children…and all of us big kids too!
I write for two magazines, distribute a free, monthly article called “My Peace”, and I am in the process of writing my first book.  What has transpired recently has been an awareness that deep down, I have always been a passionate poet.  I am now performing spoken word poetry at various coffee shops in Victoria and gearing up to take my show on the road!  I share my poetry with my English teacher friends and their classes and this keeps me in the classroom.  I also help out a my son’s amazing class at Elizabeth Buckley School.
