I graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Social Studies in 2015, having completed my final practicum at Mount Douglas Secondary. Upon graduation, I went on to work in a couple of different independent schools within Victoria and in January of 2016, I was hired as an Educational Assistant for the Greater Victoria School District.   This was an amazing opportunity in that I had the privilege of working with students who faced a wide variety of disabilities and exceptionalities These kids truly shine a light on life and I’m so happy I had the chance to begin my career as an EA. Now, I am working part-time as a French and Social Studies 08 teacher at St. Andrew’s Regional High School and I’ve also just been hired as a TTOC for the Greater Victoria School District. I’m super excited to continue in the teaching world and eventually, hopefully, become a principal or work in curriculum development for the Ministry of Education.
