,

After graduating in 2002, I TOC’d in Saanich for a few months before embarking on an adventure to New Zealand in an effort to find full-time teaching work. In an unforeseen twist of fate, my career changed from teaching to golf when I joined the NZ PGA to become a professional golfer. Realising (thankfully) my playing wasn’t at a level to earn a living playing tournaments, my focus shifted to golf club & resort management. I managed several luxury clubs & resorts in NZ and Australia, before changing careers again! For the past 5 years I have owned and operated a bar/nightclub (Woody’s Surf Shack) and have recently started a local newspaper/classified (Byron Bazaar) in Byron Bay, Australia…first drink is on the house for UVic PE grads that come in for a visit!!!
