The AWC Steering Committee (AWCSC) assists the AWC Chair.  The AWCSC aims for widespread representation across campus, to maintain a broad understanding of issues and perspectives, to represent constituents credibly, and to give people interested in AWC leadership the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the AWC and leadership roles.  When feasible, the AWCSC will include people holding each of the types of appointments represented under the umbrella of the AWC, and the Chair(s) or designate of The Minority and Indigenous Women Instructors’ Network (MIWIN).  The AWC Steering Committee terms are for two years.

New AWC Chairs are expected to have served on a recent  AWC Steering Committee.
