Digital Reconstruction of Murcheh-Khurt, Isfahan, Iran<\/p>\n

This digital reconstruction of the compound of Murcheh-Khurt is part of a larger project that investigates earthen residential compounds scattered across the central deserts and plains of Iran. The project analyzes their physical structures and functional characteristics, proposing a typology to better understand their architectural logic.<\/p>\n

Focusing specifically on Murcha-Khurt, the research explores the site\u2019s historical and architectural significance while developing a rehabilitation plan. Using SketchUp, a three-dimensional model has been created to visualize the compound after a potential restoration, based on its current condition. Due to the site\u2019s size, the reconstruction emphasizes the compound\u2019s main thoroughfare, where key public buildings, including the bazaar, holy shrine, and mosque, are located.<\/p>\n

In this project, alongside consideration of the compound as a whole, a specific residential unit was selected for detailed study. Based on existing evidence, the chosen unit, originally one of the chambers (shops) in the Bazaar, reportedly continued to operate as a commercial space until just a few decades ago, according to local residents. Following its study and documentation, a plan was proposed for the structural reinforcement and revitalization of the selected unit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
