UVic Libraries is pleased to announce that we have partnered with the Canadian Certificate in Digital Humanities (cc:DH/HN) to offer free digital literacy training workshops to the community.  The cc:DH/HN “is a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC)-funded initiative to offer a certificate in digital humanities for people who participate in non-curricular digital humanities workshops. The certificate is also supported by the Canadian Society for Digital Humanities / Société canadienne des humanités numériques (CSDH/SCHN) and the Digital Research Alliance of Canada / Alliance de recherche numérique du Canada.”

The program allows us to collaborate with leading digital scholarship institutions and initiatives–including ACENET & Calcul Québec–across Canada so that our Humanities and Social Sciences community can have access to training in the newest digital tools and methodologies. The certificate is “a joint effort of a number of partner organizations and people. The certificate is led by Laura Estill, Canada Research Chair in Digital Humanities (St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia).”

Dr. Matt Huculak (Member, HSS Committee, Digital Research Alliance of Canada) is the local organizer for cc:DH/HN workshops. If you would like more information about our local programming or the certificate, please reach out huculak@uvic.ca.

Workshops that meet the requirements of the cc:DH/HN will have the following text in their description:
