In the period 2005-2010 the University of Victoria created a series “Faces of UVic Research” with various professors providing brief overviews of their work.
This video was recorded in 2009 when key individuals including Profs. Bob Levine, Sara Harkness, Charles Super, Robert Serpell, Kofi Marfo, CIgdem Kagitcibasi, Bame Nsamenang, Bob Myers and others, were assembled in Victoria for a week long workshop focused on ways in which African scholarly activity could be promoted.
The World Bank, a key supporter of the ECDVU program, commissioned a video (in 2010) to highlight the benefits of the program featuring participants from three parts of Africa: Nigeria, Ghana and Malawi. The title “Brain Gain: Leadership Development for Africa’s Children” captures very well the program and the video.
