    1. Labour Relations Officer (Moroz):\u00a0HR presented a request to waive a posting \u2013 Melissa will present an alternative solution as we recognize the importance of the posting process. There is an opportunity to address the dental plan surplus. The union organization of the animal care unit staff will go to CUPE as there is a better fit. Melissa is meeting with the unrepresented members from Ocean\u2019s Network Canada. Melissa reviewed the preliminary PEA survey results.<\/li>\n
    2. Urgent Business or to be otherwise assigned:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      51 Review \u2013 UVic Chapter Engagement Plan \u2013 7 July \u2013 Know and Love your Collective Agreement \u2013 good turn out with the next session scheduled for 23 September from 12:00-1:30 (subject to room availability); through the PEA Central Education Committee – Orientation packages have been developed to go out to new members<\/p>\n

      52 Debrief \u2013 17 June Pond Party \u2013 Thanks to PEA Central for the prizes; bingo was well received by the attendees. With the configuration of the space we will look at repositioning the mike and speakers to the other end of the room to better engage members who are sitting outside.<\/p>\n

      53 Debrief \u2013 7 July PEA Seminar \u2013 Know and Love you Collective Agreement \u2013 the seminar was well attended with approximately 35 members. It was difficult to go through everything but the format seems to be engaging.<\/p>\n

      54 Transit Taskforce \u2013 3 June – UVic Retirees Association requested support to include retirees in OneCard transit pass. However, there currently are no employees on the OneCard transit pass. This discussion was tabled.<\/p>\n
