The PEA showed it’s support, joining 350 students on the march from Centennial Square to the BC Parliament Buildings. CFAX 1070 and CTV were onsite reporting on the issue, which prompted a response from the minister, and a counter-response from the Camosun Student Society. Despite the shutdown of Government street, many inconvenienced motorists honked in support. Rousing speeches were given on the steps of the legislature by the UVSS, CUPE 4163, student advocates, and NDP MLAs.
