UVic Chapter PEA Annual General Meeting

Maggie Cooper Little welcomed the members and introduced the members of the Chapter Executive: Bert Annear, John Foxgord, Bert Klatt, Bill McGhee, Morag MacNeil. Regrets: T. Gore
1. Approval of Agenda
The agenda of the 2003 AGM was approved.
2. Approval of Minutes of the 2002 AGM (posted at https://onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca/PEA/2002/11/13/agm-minutes-2002/)
Minutes of the Chapter Annual General Meeting held November 13, 2002 were approved.
3. Chapter Annual Reports
These were received and accepted by the members
3.1 Chair’s Report

3.2 Treasurer’s Report

3.3 Association Executive Report

3.4.5 Elections Committee report by Ian Thornton. (Missing)
Ian Thornton (chair) thanked members of the 2002/03 committee. He also thanked the nominees for agreeing to stand for election to the Chapter Executive.
Results: Ian declared all nominees for Chapter Executive elected by acclamation: Bill McGhee (Chapter Chair for 2 year term), and Directors John Hall, Cheryl Karras, and Morag MacNeil.
4. Election of 2003/2004 Elections Committee
Four nominees from the floor were declared elected by acclamation: Richard Toogood, Joe Sparrow, Wendy Major, Becky Wigen.
Maggie noted that Ian Thornton is stepping down as Chair of the Elections committee. A gift and card in appreciation of Ian’s excellent work on behalf of the Chapter was presented to him.
5. Other Business
Gifts and cards in appreciation of a job well done were presented to Maggie Cooper Little, retiring Chapter Chair, and to Bert Annear, Chair of the Seminars Committee by Vincent Connor on behalf of the UVic Chapter. Tony Bute, PEA Staff Officer, added his expression of thanks to Maggie for her ongoing support and professional approach to her duties as Chair.
6. Adjournment
