In the last year, the Seminars Committee has offered lunchtime presentations on topics

ranging from financial planning and collective agreement issues to Tai Chi and
baking cookies. We conducted an e-mail survey in February and received a number
of excellent suggestions for future seminars. We’ve been particularly pleased
to have several of our own members volunteer to make presentations on their
hobbies, interests, or areas of expertise. Seminars have included:

I wish to acknowledge and thank the
members of the Seminars Committee: Jane Kovach and Helen Landsdowne. Also,
thanks to Angela Katahan, who recently stepped down from the committee. We are
currently looking for at least one other member to join our committee.

<![if !supportEmptyParas]> <![endif]>

I would also like to thank the
members for their support and encouragement. Often members say that they
appreciated a recent seminar, or put forward an idea for a future event.
Members also frequently mention that these seminars provide an important
function in just bringing us together for informal networking. Your comments
and suggestions are always welcome. Please contact any member of the committee
with your ideas for the seminars you would like to attend.
