Regional Characteristics<\/h1>\n

The OSeMOSYS and PLEXOS models both require significant detail on resource availability, generator characteristics and future predictions of demand. The 2060 Project maintains an extensive and constantly updated database cultivated from BC Hydro, the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) and a variety of dedicated agencies in order to inform model runs. This includes details of currently installed generation capacities, planned generation expansions, future demand and costs forecasts, and spatial distribution of renewable resources.<\/p>\n
